Building on and running parallel to the exhibition *Allegories of Life: Ursula Mattheuer-Neustädt and Wolfgang Mattheuer*, the exhibition *Myth* analyzes the reception of antiquity and the incorporation of various myths into art. The exhibition explores the following questions: Where are ancient myths still present today? Who are today’s heroes? What ideals, fears, and values are reflected in historical and modern heroic figures? Myths are not static stories; they are constantly evolving—from ancient gods to contemporary comic book superheroes, from oral traditions to viral dissemination online.
