Rabenstein Castle - Chemnitz Art Collections

Short facts

It is considered the smallest medieval castle in Saxony and forms the second location of the Schloßberg Museum.

In the west of Chemnitz, lasting impressions can be gained, after all, Hans Carl von Carlowitz, the founder of sustainability, was born at Rabenstein Castle in 1645. Saxony's smallest castle is a popular destination for excursions and is located
in Chemnitz' oasis of relaxation, so to speak - lots of forest including an animal park, wildlife gate and climbing forest, the popular Rabenstein reservoir and rock domes.

From May to October you can visit the interiors and at Easter the medieval festival attracts many people each year.
