From the end of July to mid-August, Chemnitz city center becomes an atmospheric wine festival for the 36th time.
Chemnitz Wine Festival 2025: Summer becomes a feast for all the sensesWhen summer fills the city, wine aromas fill the air and music sets the pulse of the city center - then it's time again: the Chemnitz Wine Festival will transform the city center into a lively meeting place for connoisseurs, culture lovers and families from 25 July to 17 August 2025.
Between the market, Neumarkt, Jakobikirchplatz and a new festival area on Innere Klosterstraße, lovingly decorated wine stands, atmospheric lounges and international specialties invite you to linger, feast and discover. From sun-drenched vineyards from Lake Garda to the vineyards of the Palatinate - over 60 winegrowers and wine merchants will ensure a pleasurable variety in your glass.

The festive kick-off will take place on July 25 at 6 p.m. with the official opening by one of Saxony's wine sovereigns, accompanied by an energetic show by the Clovers

New this year: "Art & Corks" - the popular Wine & Paint format now takes place every Wednesday in the wine lounge on Jakobikirchplatz. In a relaxed atmosphere,
with a glass of wine in hand and under the professional guidance of Chemnitz artists Denise Kendzia or Mandy Willecke, creative works are designed. Three

Also new to the program: the entertaining "Capy-Krimi" - a hands-on activity by BLICK, in which visitors to the wine festival can help solve puzzles and find exciting clues about a mysterious wine festival.
